FROM THE BATTLEFIELD TO RECOVERY, ARMY LIEUTENANT DETERMINED TO LEAD FROM THE FRONT

Fairfax, VA (September 6, 2013) – U.S. Army Lieutenant Nick Vogt was a leader on the battlefield and
while leading his team in Afghanistan in November 2011, Nick was wounded by an improvised explosive
device.

Now, nearly two years after his recovery began, Nick is continuing to be a leader of fellow wounded
warriors. After putting together a 5k fundraiser in his hometown of Crestline, OH, Nick wanted to make
sure he contributed to the organization that has supported him during his recovery. During Nick’s
recovery Comfort for America’s Uniformed Services (Cause) was there to provide Nick and his family our
signature programs that assist in reducing stress and pain for wounded warriors and their families. With
the Vogt family’s generous donation, Cause will be able to continue our mission of being “here for those
who are there for us.”

Cause is proud to support many wounded warriors like Nick and we are encouraged to know that our
Nations heroes benefit from our unique programs.

Cause is a military non-profit based in Fairfax, Virginia. Since 2003 Cause has provided innovative
programs to aid in the reduction of stress and pain for Wounded Warriors and their families. To schedule
an interview, please contact Tyler Gately, Chief Operating Officer, at marketing@cause-usa.org.
