CAUSE (COMFORT FOR AMERICA’S UNIFORMED SERVICES) ANNOUNCES INAUGURAL “WARRIOR RIDE”
Army veterans will journey coast to coast to raise awareness for PTSD, TBI, and service injuries.
Fairfax, VA (March 27th, 2013) – The war is never over. Despite withdraw efforts, America’s service
members and their families will continue to battle the visible and invisible wounds of war for decades to
come. Cause is determined to “be here for those who are there for us®” and with the launch of Warrior
Ride, it is a shining example of how individuals across America can make a commitment and show their
support.
Beginning on June 29th, 2013, West Point Class of 1967 graduate Darrel Mooney and his Army veteran
wife Roseann, will travel coast to coast in support of Cause and their missions. Riding on a tandem bicycle
for almost 4,000 miles, their journey will launch in Washington State and conclude October 6th, 2013
among the symbolic skyline of Washington, DC.
Along the way, Team Warrior Ride will be asking communities, corporations, and other organizations to
take the “I’m Here” pledge and stand in support of our brave heroes and their families. Community
involvement activities and corporate sponsorship opportunities are available by visiting the Cause
website (http://www.cause-usa.org) or by e-mailing Tyler Gately, Development Coordinator, at
marketing@cause-usa.org.
