We have a responsibility to our community and our donors and work hard to ensure long-term sustainability of the organization, and we make our IRS Form 990 available for review, as required by law:
Donor Bill of Rights
Cause vows to expend donated funds in a manner that is consistent with donor intent, to disclose important and relevant information to potential donors, to protect the privacy of its donors and to honor their rights as indicated below:
- To be informed of the Cause mission, the way resources will be used and the capacity to use donations effectively for their intended purposes
- To know the identity of those serving on the Board of Directors and to expect the Board to use prudent judgment when exercising its stewardship responsibilities
- To have access to the most recent Cause financial reports
- To ask questions when making a donation and receive prompt, truthful and forthright answers
- To be assured that their gifts will be used for the intended purposes
- To receive appropriate acknowledgement and recognition
- To be assured that information about their donations is handled with respect and with confidentiality to the extent provided by the law
- To have the opportunity for their names to be deleted from mailing lists if Cause should ever change its policy that such lists are not to be shared
- To be informed whether those seeking donations are volunteers, Cause employees or hired solicitors
