2010 Gala Results
The Cause Veterans Day Gala, held on Thursday, November 11, 2010, proved to be a huge success, raising just over $700,000 for the organization! Approximately 420 people attended the event, held at the Andrew Mellon Auditorium in Washington, DC.
Norm Augustine, retired Chairman & CEO of Lockheed Martin and former Under Secretary of the Army, served as gala chair and Jennifer Griffin, Fox News National Security Correspondent, was the emcee for the evening. During the program, Martha Raddatz, ABC News Senior Foreign Affairs Correspondent spoke about her experiences with the military and Drew Sloan was this year's wounded warrior speaker. A copy of Drew's remarks can be viewed here. Lisa Pratt, 2009 Operation Rising Star winner, closed the evening with a performance accompanied by her husband, CPT Matt Pratt.
The funds raised from the evening will be used to support programs that reach thousands of wounded warriors and family members in military medical facilities across the country and in Germany.
